Default Potty Training

Our 3 month old puppy was doing fabulous for weeks on potty training. Today was the first day we both left him home all day for work. He stayed in his large pin outside all day and I exercised him before I left for work. He went as soon as I got home and then I took him inside. In two hours he went 4 times...inside. He never does this. After the 2nd potty I took him outside for him to do his 'duty' (and he did). But then came in and pottied 2 more times. He isn't even squatting when he goes. Any suggestions?

Was this a sudden change? I would say that he/ she is trying to mark their territory agsin to try and re-establish themselves since they were without you guys for a whole day

i agree a sudden change in schedule could be enough to tramatize a
3 month old dog..

he s still a puppy..though they can show all the signs and behaviors as a well potty trained.. any dramatic change could trigger the need to re establish territory..or temporarily loose control of urine and bowel movements..

being left alone, all day for a extended period of time for such a young pup can easily untrain a dog..just as you would teach one from not jumping on people..an over excited pup could forget what they ve learn d in times of stress or excitement..
