we got spike when he was 11 wks old, he is now 14 weeks and more or less house trained. He uses the jingle bells on the back door to let us know he needs to go out and if we don't hear him he gives one bark
Thanks for all your advice and support, things are getting easier and we just love Spike, the children are getting used to him and he is learning not to bite or jump as much, he starts puppy school tomorrow night and just had his shots boosted yesterday. Walking on the leash is still a work in progress but he walked nicely around the block this morning with my husband so i think he will get it soon. I really should bath him tonight but he is sound asleep after a long day of playing and running.....i should leave sleeping dogs lie right ? edited to add.....i should have put this in the 'stories' thread, sorry ! |

YAY!!!! I knew you'd have a breakthrough soon, so happy to hear it. It will only get easier and better with time and you'll love him more and more! So glad your super hard work and efforts are paying off

That's GREAT! We started to do this, but weren't consistent enough. Bogart just goes to the back door and stands there. Or, he'll come up to us in the living room and give us that desperate eye look.
