through all your experiences, has anyone come across an F1 that ends up with a type of "finger weave" pattern for their final coat? He was at the groomers last week for a cut, and they did a great job. I noticed prior to the cut his coat was slightly changing, now it is very prominent! He has these poodle curls on top of his head that transition to the "finger weave" (what my mother called it I think) that is across the top of his back. The "weave" is about 4 inches wide and very prominent at his neck and especially near his bum. The hair is very coarse compared to the rest. It seems to be appearing more each day
Any possibilities that this could be is final coat coming in? I have been told they change their coats so often as puppies. (he is nine months as of yesterday). |

Could be! Bogart resembles that description and it's called a "fleece" coat.
Yes.......his adult coat may be making it's way in!
