any one else have this problem?: winston doesn't seem to know where his feet are! if you are standing and looking at something outside, he will more than likely come to look too, sometimes he will stand on your feet. Just last night I was kneeling giving my daughter a bath, he came in and stood on my legs and was sniffing something!! its sooo frustrating especially with dirty paws!!!

i think he s just going where his nose leads him..he smell s something he s interested in and he s focused on it..
though dogs have very keen eyesight, hearing..they re primarily lead by their sense of smell.. if its bothersome..push his paw away and say *stop*..after a while if it continues..a gentle slap on the paw..this is probably as far as i would go.. this is where the *stop* command is must be learned.. the other issue is that it can be a sign of dominant behavior..there are just somethings that you might do that signals that your being summissive and they re going to feel vulnerable and check you out..a simple *stop or no* command will reassure him that your in control.. a domestic dog like s to be submissive..its a indication they re being protected, led and cared for.. |

Good response, IMO, deepnite!!
It doesn't happen often, but Bogart's hardy foot has scrunched my bare feet a few times as well.
