I am getting conflicting responses from various places. When is a good time to switch Cruiser (6 months: 27 pounds: 16" tall) from Puppy kibble to adult? I now give him Wellness holistic super 5 mix puppy kibble, but the 40 pound is just about out. I want to slowly incorporate the adult dog food when I do the change. So do I start to do it now at 6 months or get another puppy kibble bag to use untill he is one year old?
Also: part two of this question: I want to stay with Wellness, but do I choose a bag of food that has similar ingrediets or do I need to look for protein percentages and fat percentages? Right now his puppy kibble is 28% and 16% fat with Boneless Chicken meat and chicken meal nad barely being the first 3 ingredients. What do ya all think? |

After about 8-9 months your doodle will have reached most of their adult height. After this you can start to think about switching to adult food. They will not have reached their adult weight as they will continue to fill out to about 18 months.
