I found a lab stud for my poodle, his hips are great, has the necessary test done and has wonderful pedigree but he is now 7 years old. I am not very sure about the age of a stud, how old is acceptable? The poodle stud that I always use for my labradoodle is only four years old. I will appreciate your feedback.
Thanks, Mhyles

If he's in good health and all else is good, I wouldn't worry about using a 7 yr old male.

Tuesday produced 11 puppies from an 11 yr. old Royal std. His dad produced 2 litters of 11 after that at 12 yrs old. This line appears to be very virile. I hope that if Marley works out, he is as virile as them.
From what I have read, age only affects the quantity of the sperm....not the quality.
