I just recieved today,
I wanted to share this with you all!! it made me just cry with joy and pride

This type of letter is what keeps me going,
and reminds me why I do what I do!!!

Quote:
Hello Nancy,

WOW...It's hard to believe that our little boy Dudley (son of Bailey and Margee) is going to be 5 years old on December 25, 2008. I will never forget the day I saw his picture posted on your Web site, and counting the days until I could bring him home.

Dudley is truly a blessing and brings joy to everyone he comes in contact with. He was the easiest dog I have ever housetrained and extremely smart too. When I'm washing clothes, Dudley will get his "blankey" and bring it to me letting me know that it's time to be washed. One of his favorite things to do was to go get the newspaper and bring it to me. He is also a real "clown", definitely knows how to entertain and likes to be entertained. We make a great team! We bonded immediately and have established a great deal of trust. As a matter of fact, we have not used the crate in almost 3 years. I trust him enough that when I leave the house to run errands I do not confine him. Yes, he has the run of the house and has never destroyed anything. He always senses when I'm coming home and is always there to greet me at the door with a wag of the tail, and (what I like to call) a smile! I could go on and on about how wonderful he is but I think you already know. YOU, Nancy, have a lot to do with who he is today.

Your knowledge of breeding and the techniques used when you decide which two dogs to breed has produced some of the finest "doodles" in North America. I have experienced this firsthand and judging from the letters you have received from other owners, I am not the only one who recognizes your talents.

Nancy, to this day, I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for Dudley and me. Your dedication to your "babies", your availability and willingness to provide lifetime support speaks volumes about your character. As I said earlier, Dudley will be 5 years old this year and you still take the time to answer my questions and you do so with such honesty and sincerity.

I have always been very careful when it comes to recommendations and endorsing a particular person or service. I have no problem referring any potential "doodle" owner to you. I have had telephone conversations with a few of your prospective customers, and I'm glad to see that they decided to go with Doodlesville.

Keep up the good work! We love you and appreciate everything you do.

Hugs and doodle kisses,
Annette & Dudley Bryant

Thanks so much for letting me share,
there are so many hateful people online, that try hard to make others feel bad just to make themselves feel better,, its sad but they are out there, in the last 2days i allowed two to get in my head,,then today i got this letter, I just boohooed, it makes me so proud to know that there are people out there that love me and believe in me,

I have met so many thru doodles that have truly become my extended family,, so many keep in touch thru the years, and it just warms my heart I just cant tell you how much this meant to me!!

I hope it lifts another breeders day that reads this, we work so hard daily, try to hard to do the right thing for everyone concerned, pups, families ourselves, rising above the rest, you get to the point you think ,,why in the heck am i doing this ,no one appreciates it,
but always remember , the pups you have place in homes, for service they DO appreciate you, what you put out you get back Ten fold!! i truly believe that!!

Ok sorry for the long post ,,i just wanted to share

that was a really nice letter.

I wonder how many breeders get letters like that? as i know if it were me a letter such as this one would not only make my day but make me feel that breeding was worth the extra effort, time , money and love/training too.

I'm with you on this one Nancy... I have a page dedicated to "what my puppy buyers are saying" on my website too. And when I start to question my own sanity or decisions it does my heart good to go see the difference my pups have made in people lives.

It's always wonderful to feel appreciated.

what a nice letter Nancy. From reading your posts I know how seriously you take breeding and how much you love your puppies - I'm sure it means so much for you to hear such praise from your doodle's owners

I did get one chuckle...

I was thinking of Dexter's idea of "helping" with laundry - it would involve stealing the stinky socks and playing "catch me if you can" with them
