Default Important re: Pawsitive ID

ok anyone doing OR wanting to do DNA Testing via Pawsitive ID
here is a very important notice

http://www.pawsitiveid.net/

orrder your kits BEFORE APRIL 1, 2008 AS there will be a temporary suspension of PRCD testing after May1,2008

any kits purchased before 4/1/08 and sent in before 5/01/08 will be processed with prcd test included but after 5/1/08 they applied for a patent as well and is waiting. I have an email from them which i put in the quotes for all to read.
In a nutshell all other tests are still included it's just PRCD they're waiting to do again due to legalities that went in effect with a competitor Dec 2007

Here's what I received in email on Friday and whew my test kit is in!

Quote:
It is with great regret that I must inform you that PinPoint DNA
Technologies, Inc must temporarily suspend the inclusion of the PRCD
(Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration) portion of the Pawsitive I.D. T Genetic
Disease Screening Platform. This is due to the recent issuance of U.S.
Patent No. 7,312,037, dated December 25, 2007 which is licensed to one of
our competitors. This suspension will take effect as of Midnight April 1,
2008. Anyone who has purchased a test prior to April 1, 2008 will receive
full results including the PRCD portion. However, any pre-April 1, 2008
purchased tests must be submitted for processing before May 1, 2008 if
inclusion of the PRCD test is needed.

THE SUSPENSION OF THE PRCD PORTION OF THE PAWSITIVE I.D. T TEST DOES NOT
AFFECT ANY OTHER PORTION OF OUR PRODUCT!

Upon issuance of a cease and desist order from our competitor regarding this
patent, PinPoint undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the '037 patent to
determine its validity. Although serious issues were uncovered, a prudent
business decision has been made not to become engaged in a protracted and
expensive legal battle. PinPoint does not believe it has in the past or is
currently infringing on the '037 patent or any other patent belonging to any
competitor.

From the beginning, PinPoint has been dedicated to bringing cost effective
genetic testing to the companion animal industry. And we will continue to do
so. PinPoint and its affiliates have pending patents that we believe will
allow us to re-commence testing for PRCD in the near future once issued. Our
promise to you is that we will continue to work as hard as possible to make
our product a valuable, cost effective method of improving the health of dog
& cat breeds.

Thank you all for your past, present and future business!!!

PinPoint DNA Technologies, Inc
