Default All sold out of pups...

I accepted payment on my final pup today. I will be boarding him for 10 days, after which he will be moving to northern MN with his new family.

How weird it feels not to have puppies to sell!
I'm thinking Canada and I will both enjoy a short break and then jump right back in since I have really enjoyed this.

Thanks for all the info and support you've all given me. It really helped to make this a very positive experience all around.

Congratulations!!! How many did you have to sell? I recall you had a LARGE litter. It must have been a lot of work.

Todd, I had a dozen. So yes, there were quite a few.

And now I feel bad... I had 2 families at the last minute want this last pup. Neither could get here right away due to distance and work etc. So yesterday I told them both that I would accept paypal and charge a very small daily boarding fee to which ever sent me the price first. So today the one in MN used paypal and got the pup reserved. I had no sooner accepted the payment and the other contacted me wondering how to set up a paypal account since they wanted him too.

The couple who lost out are in Upper Michigan and seem very nice. So I was sitting here feeling bad and thinking "this is NOT what I got in this to feel like!" So I ended up making the people in Michigan an offer of first choice at a reduced price from our next litter. Ok... so I'm a sucker... Right? But I never want to disappoint a family who appreciates my pups and I do have to feel good about the way I do business.

Congrats Tink! That's good news.............even though it'll seem empty awhile.
That was nice of you to offer that to the people in Michigan! That had to make them feel better, even though they now have to wait. There's not much else you could do wih only one left!!

Default Finding a home for your last pup.

Hi Tink,

Congratulations on finding a home for your last pup! I imagine it does feel kind of empty. I can tell you really care about your dogs and the people who purchase puppies from you. Thanks for introducing me to this website. I am really enjoying learning about labradoodles!

Sheila ( I emailed you last week about labradoodles)

Sheila,
Welcome! So nice to see you took me up on my invitation!
You will learn a lot of good practical knowledge here and find some really nice new friends.

Yes, I do care. This is supposed to be fun for me, so I do what ever it takes to feel right about my dealings.

I look forward to getting to know you better here!

Hi Again Tink,

Yes, I am really enjoying this site and learning so much about Labradoodles! Before I know it I have spent an hour or so just reading the questions and responses. Labradoodles sound like the perfect breed of dog for our family! My husband and boys are getting excited about getting a puppy this summer! I am truly amazed at the differences in coat types within the breed. Thanks again for directing me to this great site!

Sheila
