Hi all, it's been a long week I think we are just too anxious for these puppies. We're thinking the reading Linda got Tuesday on the thermometer wasn't acurate. If you're not use to taking a dogs temp, it can be tricky sometimes. My vet suggested taking her into Linda's vet today if there still weren't any puppies just to be on the safe side so Linda is calling her vet this morning. Linda said the puppies were VERY active last night and Lucy seems fine but we want to take all the precautions we can. One of us will keep you posted, I will probably be packing my bags and heading out that way again tonight or tomorrow since my DH will be here for the weekend to take care of my puppies. I have the batteries in my camera charged up and ready

Well, if Lucy's is having puppies tonight she don't know it yet she is draging her blanket around playing wagging her tail what tail she has. I keep thinking yeah girl just wait in about 24 or so hours you aren't going be so happy wagging that tail of yours. But can't help but love her anyway puppies are still moving around not as much so I think they have their order lined out who's coming first anyway. She ate her dinner but I've seen them do that and still have pups the same night.

Speaking of babies I seen my new grandbaby on Baby Waves today they decided to go with let it be a surprise this time so we won't know if it's a boy or girl until June.

I'll keep you posted on Lucy and her little ones as soon as she decides it's time.

Jac,
Do you remember that number I gave you where you can get the oxytocin and any other prescription vet supplies? Lambriar Vet Supply: 1-800-344-6337 The on staff vet is there to fill your prescriptions and talk to you about proper usage on Tuesdays and Thursday. It is one of the most important parts of having the pups. I just lost a Mom because I was out of town when she whelped and she didn't get the oxytocin. She lasted 16 days after whelping and the last 7 days broke my heart. Hope you can get it and use it for Bayley.
Lee Ann
P.S. It is interesting to see the differnece in the cooperation of vets and breeders in different areas. Good vets are something one has to scour the country for I think. I hear you are not the only one in your area having issues with the vets not wanting to dispense needed scripts. Thank goodness for places like LVS where there vets will dispense what you need.

Thanks, Lee Ann, I will look into that. I had forgotten the number so I appreciate you posting it for me.
I am very sorry about the loss of your dog. That is heartbreaking.

Diane...what is BabyWaves? And, congratulations on your expected arrival of a new grandchild! That's almost as fun as having puppies!

Soooo Lucy's tail still wagging?

BabyWaves? Is that when you have lots of babies--LOL

No problem Jac, I just want breeders to have access to what they need and to have the knowledge to use the right products.

Hey Lee Ann, let me add my thanks for that name/website/info! I have a breeder-trainer colleague here who ended up with extra oxytocin so I'm going to buy hers from her, but I always need the best prices for stuff!

And yeah, it' is interesting and irritating to see vets NOT work with breeders! Shoot, I don't know if I can count how many clients my vet has gotten from me and our breeding program. (and she does work with me on many things)

Same here, I tell Doc frquently how grateful I am for him. Like he doesn't know--LOL . We talk several times a week on the phone long distance about my dogs. I drive 6 hours to vet with him (usually weekly), but it is so worth it. It is one of my closest relationships I've ever had with another human being since I bond best with animals
