Default Penn Hip Doodles

I found this interesting group forum on Yahoo. You have to register, but I have registered for other forums and they do not bug you You can register anonymously, too. Here is the description:
"This is a group for Labradoodle/Goldendoodle owners and breeders to enter PennHip results or other testing that has been done into a database for purpose of determining a breed standard. This info can provide breeders some insight as to where the labradoodle ranks amoungst other breeds and also how their individual breeding stock compares.
It is acceptable to remain anonymous if someone chooses not to enter their dogs name. The only important info is the PennHip results, the age when the tests were taken and if DJD was found. All other info is optional."

ok, now I gotta ask: who else has posted their dogs' pennhip results on this other YAHOO forum?

It's news to me!

I haven't used PennHip and one of the reasons is that the idea of using a "percentile" test is GOING to change as the population that uses it grows. Does that make sense? So I have wanted to let this sort of "testing" - actually get more testing itself! And sure enough, lots of people who thought they could get a definitive report on their dog's hips at 4 mos old are not happy with the results and are more happy at 12mos!

So thanks, LInda for sharing. Did you list your dog(s) there?

Have other breeders used that database from here? Is so please say so!

I know where that is, I see it too, and I have pennhipped, but its a prelim and I am happy with the results, but from a lot of what I read I can retest and probably see an improvement which will really bump the results to an excellent level so I chose not to join yet just in case! my one stud I did OFA. they are the same price here so I felt the penn hip was a method I liked maybe a little better but I also got lucky and had good breeding quality scores from both methods so I like both
