Hi everyone, I bought a book and found it to be absolutely wonderful for those of you who want to know more about dog breeding and genetics!
I learned so much about color, coats, disease, etc. And it also has a great deal of info regarding the history of dog breeds in general. It is a great resource for breeders, but also informative to owners who have questions about your dog's traits. It is called "Genetics An Introduction for Dog Breeders" and it is written by Jackie Isabell. I bought my copy from Amazon. |

Jacque, thanks so much for this post. I see you and I are going to be swapping book titles! My copy of the genetics book is en route from amazon.com, so I can feel a bit like I'm studying for the bar, too! (Hardly!)
I think I read the "Mendel's peas" section in college biology about four times before it soaked in, so I should be entertained for a while with this book...
