We must remind members & breeders of ad policies
I AM EDITING THIS ORIGINAL THREAD TO SAY WHAT I HAVE TO SAY AT THE VERY BEGINNING.
PLEASE, PLEASE........STOP ADVERTISING YOUR WEBSITES AND LITTERS. I DO REALIZE YOU THINK THIS IS A PERFECT SPOT TO FIND A BUYER, BUT IT IS NOT ALLOWED. MAKE LIFE EASIER ON US, OK? I DON'T WANT TO CREATE HARD FEELINGS BY DELETING......AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION, JUST KNOW YOU CANNOT DO IT AND ACCEPT IT. THANK YOU. Hello members and breeders. This post seems to have slipped by and is now, once again, going against the forum policy. I ANNOUNCE THIS AGAIN AND PLEASE CONSIDER IT AS AN EXPLANATION (WITHOUT A PRIVATE MESSAGE) OF WHY WE HAVE DELETED OR WILL BE DELETING ANY SORT OF ADS WHETHER IT BE FOR DOODLE SALE OR ADS IN GENERAL. ONE RECENT EXAMPLE IS AN AD FOR CARPET CLEANING. Thank you for your cooperation. lindamarie Annmarie once explained this very well, so I am using her post to explain this once again...she said the following: -------------------------------- Hi guys, A quick reminder to everyone that advertising pups for sale is not permitted in the forum. Breeders, feel free to discuss your new litters in the Breeder's Forum, but please avoid blatant self-promotion. I know there's a fine line sometimes between discussion and promotion... Here's an example of a "puppy discussion", which is OK.. Quote: In fact, I have one great little puppy...he is very special (smart as the dickens!) and I have someone interested in him, because they like the flat coat...but I wanted to ask you breeders about his coat. I noticed today that he is shedding! (F1B) I have already told this buyer about the shedding and mentioned that I would write in to the forums to get advice. Here's an example of "Advertising" of a litter... Quote: We have 5 f1b puppies for sale, please visit our website IANA — Example domains! Speaking of blatant self-promotion... if you're a breeder and need to sell a litter, I advertising on our homepage for a month would be GREAT way to advertise your kennel. Our homepage receives about 1,000 unique visitors every day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My main concern is that because of the popularity of this website and these forums that this forum could quickly degrade into a free-for-all listing of breeders and litters for sale. Yep! My job is to moderate this site.
BUT! People continue to advertise! That takes a lot of my time AND doesn't allow me to share and respond to the wonderful things going on here. PLEASE STOP BEING SNEAKY! PLEASE STOP ADS! UNDERSTAND THIS MESSAGE WAS WRITTEN AS A FOREWARNING........AND YOU WILL BE BANNED WITHOUT NOTICE! Linda
