Hey y'all, I am really and really excited about the f3 puppies I hope I have coming, and yet, I also really want a future girlfriend of the sire of the upcoming litter, so can we discuss trades or potential trades here in the business section?
If not, can I ask any of you breeders to email me if you are possibly interested in a trade? Also I would be willing to offer my miniature male for stud service to approved girlfriends. Email me, please. thanks!! |

Maureen......i sent Jac this link but at same time
for now i don't see why you can't DISCUSS it but PM and/or EMAIL details, info, personal stuff etc i just wouldn't go hog wild and/or cross lines of advertising. I think it's great when breeders want to do business /trades etc as this can be a good avenue SO the EMAIL PLEASE you put up is FANTASTIC!!! JAC may give more explicit details ...i am off to work and congrats ON the puppies!!!!!!!!111

I would hope we could discuss trades. There are relatively few breeders here and it would be nice if we can help each other out. Its not selling, so its not advertising per say, ie nobody would really pay to advertise a breeder trade so there is not lost ad income for the site, but maybe Scott should say something to this issue since he is the new owner and may have an opinion.

Sorry...I had this ready to send and I got sidetracked...I notice that Scott replied...still, I am going to post my answer.
I see no reason why we can't discuss trades...the only time that it could become problematic is if unknown breeders start posting without knowledge or concern for the rules and they start to post about their programs... But, as in posting stud availability, I think that trades and breeding stock availability are okay to list as the rules now stand. I think we will get some breeders crossing the line into other things though...so, how would you all feel about a private breeder section where we can freely post all things? Since it would be private and not public, we e could have really good and complete discussions...if that sounds good, we could ask Scott to set something up. |

The only problem I have with what you suggested Jacque, is determining who is a breeder, how do I qualify certain members as breeders, etc.... You're talking about some breeders crossing into other things, well this will still happen in a private section.... The first thing that comes to my mind is making this part of the breeder-directory service we provide on the site.
I myself am not a breeder of any animals, although my wife did try breeding Persian cats once, and I attempted to breed Ball Pythons a few years ago.... I am somewhat familiar with stud service and trading. I think this is a natural part of your business and I encourage it. I don't wish to charge for any breeder-to-breeder services, only breeder-to-consumer. But I will help you all facilitate in any way possible. I will even be adding some content to the breeder section to help breeders out soon. I am an Internet guy myself and I've been doing it for 14 years now and I think some of my knowledge will help you breeders with the Internet portion of your business. Scott |

OK!!
So here I go....... I have a fabulous male....25-27lbs, f1b golden to dark Apricot color...parti-factored ....Sunny who needs a girlfriend. I would like a Miniature Female, F1b or beyond, fleece coat....golden-to-red...as a future romance. PARTI FACTOR would be GREAT! We have more puppies from Sunny's parents coming next week so I would offer the pick of the litter in trade. I also have f3 Medium sized puppies, expected in Gold-Apricot, or Black, possibly silver that I would also consider offering in trade. BOTH litters are due next week! I will consider puppies, mostly, but in a rare case, perhaps a female who is mature or even proven. I would love a liver nose, that is, bbee, but it's not necessary. I might be willing to consider a Chocolate Miniature girl as well. Oh, she would probably go in a guardian home fairly soon after we got to know each other. Should I save this list for Santa? Or is there a future romance for my Sunny boy out there? Sunny's testing: OFA hips, elbows, cardiac - all GOOD PID (prcd/PRA, vWD) cleared with both parent's profiles here on file Sunny's mom has extensive testing I would also provide, including OFA on the previous generation! |
