Default Re: Rehoming Contract

MAILA hi!!!
till someone replies as a few breeders are either travelling or dealing with multiple puppies at the moment
PERHAPS clicking on their website links, some do have their contracts listed and maybe you'll find some info
or you can call them.

Some breeders depending on age, situation etc refund a portion of the money
others dont' as they are taking care of the dog till they find a home

I look at it this way, how can anyone expect any monetary refund as the breeder is HELPING that person
solve a situation, taking care of the dog now(food, time, money etc) and taking the time to find the right home.

Default Re: Rehoming Contract

The contract I use for rehoming is the same as I use for puppy placement, only amended to reflect the circumstances. I generally don't sell the rehome, my goal is to find a good, forever, home but if I did collect money, I'd refund it to the first family, less costs of rehoming. That would be in the contract.

I would continue the genetic health warranty for 2 years and then I always have the same conditions as with a sale; ie that they have to give the pup/dog back rather than to place it themselves if it doesn't work out, that they promise to give it a safe, loving environment, etc...

Nothing changes in my rehome contract except for the sales amount and duration of the remaining warranty. If the dog is older than 2 years, the only warranty is that I will take the dog back if they can't keep it.
