Oh my ,,didnt worm pups? pups have worms,, you Must worm them!!! did he bother to check a fecal? most all pups have worms,,i have never heard such a thing
i use nemex2 at 2 weeks
at 4weeks I use pyrantal (get if from jeffers) NOT KV

if over 4-5weeks
go to farm store get a small bottle of safeguard goat or cattle wormer, appx 20.00 or less , give pup 1cc per 4lbs
safeguard is fenbendazole it is a all round wormer that is safe for puppies dogs, give it to him for 3-5days,
please please worm your puppy!!!
it kills hooks rounds whips, giardia and is the old treatment for coccidia
calling around and checking other vets may be in order

I agree with Nancy...de-wroming is a must!

Here is a good chart to identify which wormer works for which worm: http://www.lambriarvet.com/vet-canine-wormer-chart.php

I did a search for reactions to wormers and all I found was that in a study of 240 dogs, 3 vomited. Yet I know that worms can make puppies so sick and if you wait for them to get sick, it is much, much harder on their systems.

Thank you very for your feedback guys...it's all appreciated. I am so glad we have knowledgeable breeders here.

Going back to the vaccines..I am ordering the Progard 5 right now but was wondering if I can order 2 sets of 25 so i will have enough for my next litter. I guess my question is, how long can you keep vaccines in the fridge-how long do they stay good?

They have expiration dates on them...you can probably find out that date by making a call to the seller...it may be shown on the order, I don't normally check...but I do know that sometimes they go on sale because their expiration date is approaching...
