Oh, my goodness...I am finding kindred spirits here!
All of those stores sound wonderful to me...and I also LOVE to go to thrift stores and book stores! I could spend entire weekends in one book store or library, if they'd let me! Yes, the pigrails are for the babies to stay away from mama's weight if she rolls onto them. I am amazed at how well the pups are able to climb out from under her anyway. Jane, I don't need a monitor because I sleep right with them...and I spend their first week with them almost constantly. Bayley is an exceptional dog. She is aware of every pup and where they are. She walks so carefuly into the box and she gently touches her nose on each pup...I swear she is counting them! |

I will probably be right with them for a solid week, too!! But, I may need the monitor some during the day while I tend to the rest of life around here.....just being out of the room for a few minutes would mean I need a monitor.....though my house is small enough probably, to not need one at all....unless I was outside and they were in here....I couldn't hear them very well.
Bayley sounds just wonderful!! I'll bet she is counting, too!! I think it is so fascinating to watch...and be a part of these lives....
