Jac,

A friend just adopted "pink collar boy" from you! I'm so excited. Karen's folks live across the street from us. So, Abbey will have a new playmate. Pink collar boy is now called Brody!!! Can't wait to meet him. Small world.

Thank you for the post Jac, I'm bookmarking it for next time. I think I was a little naive when I got Charlie...asked questions but took it all on trust cos the breeder seemed a nice lady...however I do not have any test results in writing (tho I was given a 2 yr health guarantee when we collected him) and it took several emails to get the names of his grandparents...but not in the detail you describe. You're right, we should insist on all this info - it's not as if it's a state secret! - but it's sometimes difficult to think straight in all the excitement, so your list will be very useful. Wish I'd found this forum BEFORE I got C....but then maybe I wouldn't have him now

Ann, I hope that we reach a few people and are able to make a slight difference...I know, however, that you adore Charlie and he is a sweet addition to your family...sometimes things happen for reasons...

Barb! How great that you will be able to see my baby!!! I am so happy...Karen is a lovely girl and Brody took to her immediately. I can't wait to hear about him...please PM me once you get a chance to meet him!

I am one of the benefiters of that post. I was willing to give up my chance at a puppy from that litter, because I wanted to see the proof of the testing. I waited until I was satisfied that my breeder had indeed gotten all of the testing done, I called her vet and the optometrist that she uses and confirmed that she has done all of the testing on her dogs. I did a site visit to insure that the animals were in the type of enviroment that I wanted.
If I'm going to pay top dollar for a pet, I want to check as much out as I can to make sure that the person I'm dealing with is fair. She turned out wonderful. and so has my Little Remy.
