Default We put down a deposit and have our fingers crossed!

First of all, thank you so much for all the wonderful answers to my many questions the last few weeks.

We mailed our deposit for a puppy on Monday and we are so excited. The breeder is hoping the momma is pregnant and will know in the next week or so. Then we are second on the list to choose a puppy. YEAH!! If all goes as planned, we will have her the first week of September.

I know I will have lots of questions to ask as we prepare our home for our newest family member. I am going back and reading all the posts in order and taking notes!! (I am a researcher by nature)

This forum is wonderful! I love seeing all the pictures, especially the puppy to adult threads. WOW!!

Thanks again to everyone for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Oh, My gosh!! You are reading all the threads in order???
AND taking notes?? Wish I had time to do that!! I love research, too....but I can easily get myself bogged down with too much info!!!
Maybe in small bites, it would be OK> Anyway, you should be more than
prepared by the time September gets here!!! Have fun!

Congrats to you expectant doodle parents....
How very exciting!!

Yes, I am reading them all.

I have a word document for each category I want then when I come across a post I want to keep, I simply copy and paste the post onto the document.

I have the following categories:

Grooming
Leashes
Crating
Training
Food
Misc. Tips

After I get all the info onto the document, I will go back and shave it all down to manageable information with no duplicates.

Sounds time consuming, but I do it in short bursts through the day and copying and pasting makes it pretty easy.

I know, I am a geek. You should see me plan a vacation!!

I'm impressed!!!

Every second of every minute of your vacation must be all tied up!!

Now, a schedule for the dog is a great place to start....
but, be prepared to have it shot to pieces some days....since you will not have allowed time for cleaning up all the stuffing out of toys, pillows, couches....Ha!! Kidding, well I am half-kidding! It happens! Puppies are notorious for monkeying around!!

You for sure must be very valuable in your line of work....whatever that may be.....a little order in the chaos??!!
