I picked up Gunner last Thursday morning. Before bringing him home I read both of Cesar Millan's books, My Way and Be the Pack Leader. They were so very helpful.
We walk an hour every morning before breakfast. Then he is in his crate for a few hours while I am at work. Another long walk during lunch and then crate again until 4:00. After that we have more walking and lots of play time. He has met the three cats and is doing well with them, but I dont trust him to be alone in the house yet. Gunner sleeps in his crate in the kitchen all night with no barking, whining or separation issues. You all are right that doodles really wants to be with people. Gunner is happiest when he is with one of us (especially me). He has learned to walk on a leash using the gentle leader. He still needs other obedience training. He is not aggressive or destructive, but he does not follow commands unless he is really motivated by a great treat. So we still have lots to work on. We are just so happy to have him with us! Sara

and he'll amaze you with the training you're doing, just give him more time as he's settling in quite nicely i might add Congrats!!
