I was wondering if anyone has seen any adoptable (NOT to purchase$$ but adoption/rehoming) doodles in the Yuba City/ Roseville CA area. I checked petfinder, shelters and various online classifieds with no luck. We have a Labradoodle and would like to adopt a second doodle. If anyone knows where to look for any retired doodles or even a puppy, please let me know. Thanks

Hi Stephanie, I don't know of any (except that I am getting a well trained dog back from GDA, but I want to find him a person who needs a service companion...sorry)...you might want to check with IDOG Rescue. They are really great to work with.
In California, the waiting list is extremely long for Doodle rescues and rehomes, but they do screen the families and try to find the best fit for dogs...they work with all of the rescues and shelters, so they are a really good group to connect with. www.idog.biz (then look for the rescue link) |

I will!
We are trying to move to Penn Valley...my husband's father was an Air Force man...so we may have lots to talk about (DH is a pilot, not active these days) and since I will be so close to you when (if) we move, maybe we can get together! |

This is the closest one that I see - in Sonoma about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours away. This one (Tillie) is also listed on the IDOG site.
http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displa ... d=10949014 I've only seen 4 doods in all of CA lately and 3 of them are in So Cal. Of course that's more than I usually find!!
