Sometimes a post needs hijacking to lighten things up.
If you were offended Leslie that was not the intention
and as far as injecting sanity sometimes we just like to have some fun.

Wasn't offended; just didn't need to keep reading the thread anymore. Not a big deal!

Good night, all. Don't forget to put your clocks back if that applies to you!

Life is too short NOT to have some fun and laugh a bit.

Leslie, you just got a glimpse of how us doodleaholics spend a weeked night on the forum. WE go off on a funny tangent ( aka unintentional hijacking of topic) and somehow we surpass our level of insanity to new heights hahhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa

hahhaa i was just thinking

Jane, thanks for injecting some sanity into this thread. I was just about to click on "unsubscribe me from this"! Maybe it's the weather or the juxtaposition of stars, but I've never seen a thread quite so hijacked.

well, i do agree that rarely does a thread
that goes this long....stay "on topic"
.....and with the bunch of us, so prone to silliness....well....
need I say more???????????

And I just have to add a short story
(well, my kind of short....)
My daughter, Sarah, in '82 was given this little china cabinet-
hutch thing...that had all the play china pieces and silverware...platters, etc. It was only about 2-1/2 feet tall...but perfect for my three year old.....
EXCEPT that in no time, the little cabinet doors would not stay shut!
The tiniest movement in the closet, or shutting of her closet doors would cause the hutch to swing open and all the zillion pieces
would fall out and clatter to the floor! It made a horrible racket~ sometimes in the middle of the night, if one of the cats got in there.

Soooo, to get back at the parents/friends who gave it to her....
when they finally had a three year old little boy~
we bought him a wind up...
"one-monkey-band!!"
the goofy monkey played the drums, harmonica, cymbals and I don't know what else happened, I think his tail rang some bells....
It was so noisy and annoying we figured it was a perfect pay back!!!
He was sort of cute....for a very short listen!!

One more thing, my father had a monkey on board a navy ship during
WWII. It would open all the mail and mess things up royally.
It even got seasick one time....Sitting in Dad's lap, at the morse code thing....the ship was rocking them back and then forward....to the trash can on the floor between my Dad's feet.....you get the picture.
My Dad didn't recommend my getting
a monkey, or a goat! I'll spare you the goat story.

goodnight!!

ahhhhhhhh Toy revenge is sweet but you should have put magnets on the doors
A monkey on board must have been interesting to say the least

Great story Jane, love payback for some of the toys my daughter received
while she was young too. Glad to see the majority like the silliness of
a hijacked thread................as we are always gonna go off topic, when needed or not at some point teehee
