We have been looking for years to rescue and adopt a labradoodle or a goldendoodle--to no avail.
Finally looked into good breeders and settled [xxx] Labradoodles in SC (edit by mods, PM the user if you would liek to talk about where they got their puppy). We are getting one of Autumn's puppies, born on May 17th. Has anyone ever deal with this breeder before? We have checked references, have tried to ask all the right questions, etc/ We have 5th pick of a puppy on July 10th. We are very nervous and excited and would love suggestions and comments! Thank you! Last edited by KingstonTodd; 06-25-2010 at 03:57 PM. |

Congratulations on your "almost here" Doodle!!
.......AND...........WELCOME TO THE FORUM! We are always excited to meet new pups and owners and we LOVE pictures! As with all of us, you picked your breeder for a reason and it must have been a good one. With us, we asked to "meet the parents" and we tried various techniques on choosing Bogart such as: -playing with his toes -dropping things like keys to see if he was too timid -playing with his ears In our choice we made sure that as a 9 week old puppy, Bogart was willing to let us do things and not get irritated or run and hide in a corner or something. Good luck to you and we can't wait to meet your new doodle!

Thank you! Much appreciated.
We have been so worried to choose a good breeder, who is ethical. My husband and I are very involved in animal rescue (very active in Havanese Rescue, Inc for which we foster) and have heard every scary story about breeders out there. I think we have found a good one--sure hope so! It is a very large litter--12 pups! We go on July 10th to choose ours. We have been getting pictures of all the sweet puppies and are seeing their progress. Cannot wait till we get to see them! This litter is champagne to reds, and we will be choosing one of the golden-red pups. We are soooooooooo excited! I have pictures of the puppies. Will try to figure how to post on the board. We have an almost 6 yr old Bichon, Paco, and an almost 5 yr old Havanese, Lola. |

HI......so nice to meet you and WOW CONGRATS!!! this is soooooo exciting
those puppies look really good , they have nice form structure and coats a good breeder knows their puppies and get the one that fits your lifestyle here in my house we're mostly extroverts and i always wanted a labradoodle since i first read about them never imagining i could or would be able to afford one and one fateful day we got the puppy no one wanted............MAX the puppy with the temperment i looked for my whole life: easy going, laid back, loving yet comical quiet but a mischievious soul at times ahahhaaaaaaaaaaaa we're jokesters in my family so MAX was perfect and fit right in. Peanut she's a goldendoodle i whelped at birth and knew she was like us energetic, full of it (wink wink ) but i must say BOTH DOODLES Picked US out! anyway the more you talk with your breeder and be very honest about how you and your family are the better fit of a puppy your breeder can help you out with. I cannot wait to see which puppy you get and OH by the way we're doodle-a-holics and the only known temporary cure is PICTURES!!! lots of pictures! (hint hint) this forum......i am sooooo happy you joined, it's full of great members. years of articles, posts and more. a simple search can turn up tons of great advice by both members and long time doodle breeders as well. i've done 3 years of apprenticing with my breeder and love it! i am sad when the puppies go at 1st but when they go to the right home it's a good feeling too. soooooooo JULY 10th is comign up really soon and i can almost guarantee you won't sleep much the night before hahhaahhahaaaaaaaaa the excitement and more keeps you thinking or should i say most women? either way........doesn't matter, i am really excited and happy for you. OH OH there's sticky notes in each section that tell you how to post pics if not i'll help. Photobucket.com is a great place and choose the one for free. CONGRATS AGAIN.......WILL be looking for your new post of a puppy with a name too
