Default Looking for a breeder of mini's in Arizona

Hi!
We have just fell in love with the labradoodle breed and are ready to look into adopting a puppy. We are really hoping to get a miniature doodle. The austrailian labradoodles are what I am leaning toward, but I am having a hard time finding one priced reasonably. They all seem to be somewhere around $2500, which is a little out of our reach. Can anyone recommend a breeder that is in our area? It would help to not have to pay several hundreds of dollars to ship the puppy on top of it. We are so excited about the prospect of adding a pup to our family. Our 4 children are beside themselves with excitement.
Thanks for any information you can share! Please PM me with specific breeder information.

Hi Danielle, welcome to our forum!
I think that you will find it difficult to locate an Australian Multigen for less than $2500, and minitures are likely even more expensive.
It is rare that the AMs are reduced in price. (For a point of reference, just one breeding female can cost anywhere between $15,000 and $30,000! Paying for a stud fee is, the last I checked, $2500...so, you see, the puppy price will reflect the expenses involved in breeding these dogs.)
You may want to take a look at F1B puppies, as they are less money...better yet is the F1 generation, price-wise.
Most importantly, please check the archives of this forum and find out why it is important to select a puppy from a reputable breeder. You may get a less expensive pup from a pet store, a back yard breeder or puppy mill...but you also may end up paying a LOT more down the road if your pup acquires a genetic fault or disease. Reputable breeders test their breeding stock and offer warranties that you won't find in the BYBs and PMs.
Please feel free to ask specific questions and to do research on our site, I think you will find it very interesting.
We are glad you joined us!

Hi, I've been very absent!
Danielle, I'm in Colorado, do you want to chat?
My email is in my signature. I've been away from this forum for a while in our recent move out to the country and while waiting for my girls to get bred, I guess topics have rolled over and I don't get the emails.
