Hi Chris, welcome! Congratulations on your decision to add a Doodle to your family!
I edited your post to request that information be sent to you privately as we are not allowed to refer breeders or speak badly of any, not on the public forum. And, it looks like Kristen sent a PM to you...if you look at the top of this page you will see a menu and a place to click that says "You have ___ messages" That is where you will find the posts. I am going to send you one as well. Again, welcome...we look forward to hearing about hte puppy you select! |

Hi Chris - welcome to the site. A good place to start looking for both information and breeders is the various Labradoodle and Goldendoodle associations. Please PM me and I'll send a link.

See how long the breeder has been in business.
See what type of health testing and breeding program they have. Some breeders do not test anything (it's not cheap) and will also breed related dogs. Is there any guarantee? Do they provide any shots, microchipping, neutering....? Meet or get complete temperaments on the parents and your new puppy or dog. The breeder or owner should be able to tell you all about the pup/dog. Outgoing versus slow to warm up or alpha. If you have a therapy need this is even more critical. Remember this is a pet/family member for a long while. Multi-gen doodles live an average of 14 years. That's a commitment. Take the time to research now for the next 12-16+ years. FInd references from past puppy sales and see the support and information provided to puppy owners. Good luck finding a great pup/dog! Sheila
