Default Labradoodle breeders in Nova Scotia?

I've been looking for what feels like FOREVER for a breeder in or within driving distance of Nova Scotia. I figured out from a search of the site that Molly is a breeder I talked to about goldendoodles here in NS a few months back, but my husband and I really have our hearts set on an F1 Labradoodle.
Some of you may recognize my name from another post where I was discussing how we were supposed to get a puppy from a breeder in New Brunswick, but that litter all contracted the parvovirus and our puppy died. I've done just about every possible search online looking for websites of breeders (which is how I found Molly), but have come up empty. My best results have been from an ad I placed on Kijiji, but then I end up getting "hobby breeders". There's nothing particularly wrong with them, but I'd prefer to work with someone who really knows their stuff, especially after this recent incident with losing our puppy.

So if any of you know of a good breeder within driving distance of good ole NS (we prefer not to have to get a puppy flown in, if at all possible) PLEASE let us know!!

Desparate in NS

Please Pm if you have any info...thank you

Okay, so I guess I'm going to have to expand my search since pretty much all I'm hearing is that there are no local labradoodle breeders. So what about recommending breeders where I can get a first generation labradoodle puppy (and have it shipped to me) for under or close to $1000. I know that's a low number, but I can't get my husband to budge any higher, and I'm willing to take a dog up to six months old.

You will need to find a breeder you feel comfortable with, there are numerous breeders ,,most reputable ones have a wait list

just remember you get what you pay for, so cheap is not always better
Prices vary just like breeders, if you need help with info anyone of us will be happy to help ,, you can PM me or email ,anytime

Please dont post links on this thread

Good point...I absolutely understand your financial concerns and certainly do relate to a husband who may limit the price that you can pay...but I did want to add to Nancy's comment because if you buy from a less than reputable breeder, you could get a puppy with genetic problems or general health/temperament issues that will cost you a lot more in the long run once you pay for the vet bills, training, and sometimes the cost of rehoming an unsuitable dog...so choose carefully...there are reputable breeders willing to sell older pups for $1000 but the shipping will likely be extra.

Best wishes in your search!

I just thought I'd post one more time, in case anyone comes around checking this thread for info.......

Couldn't find any reputable and affordable breeders in the maritimes provinces, so we chose a breeder from Ohio. But having done a lot of research, gotten a lot of good advice, and having a bad experience with one breeder out here already, I thought I would offer my knowledge to anyone looking. Just PM me if you want some tips and links. I'm no expert, but I can certainly point you in some good directions, and point you away from some bad ones.
