I've been looking for what feels like FOREVER for a breeder in or within driving distance of Nova Scotia. I figured out from a search of the site that Molly is a breeder I talked to about goldendoodles here in NS a few months back, but my husband and I really have our hearts set on an F1 Labradoodle.
Some of you may recognize my name from another post where I was discussing how we were supposed to get a puppy from a breeder in New Brunswick, but that litter all contracted the parvovirus and our puppy died. I've done just about every possible search online looking for websites of breeders (which is how I found Molly), but have come up empty. My best results have been from an ad I placed on Kijiji, but then I end up getting "hobby breeders". There's nothing particularly wrong with them, but I'd prefer to work with someone who really knows their stuff, especially after this recent incident with losing our puppy. So if any of you know of a good breeder within driving distance of good ole NS (we prefer not to have to get a puppy flown in, if at all possible) PLEASE let us know!! Desparate in NS Please Pm if you have any info...thank you |

Okay, so I guess I'm going to have to expand my search since pretty much all I'm hearing is that there are no local labradoodle breeders. So what about recommending breeders where I can get a first generation labradoodle puppy (and have it shipped to me) for under or close to $1000. I know that's a low number, but I can't get my husband to budge any higher, and I'm willing to take a dog up to six months old.

I just thought I'd post one more time, in case anyone comes around checking this thread for info.......
Couldn't find any reputable and affordable breeders in the maritimes provinces, so we chose a breeder from Ohio. But having done a lot of research, gotten a lot of good advice, and having a bad experience with one breeder out here already, I thought I would offer my knowledge to anyone looking. Just PM me if you want some tips and links. I'm no expert, but I can certainly point you in some good directions, and point you away from some bad ones. |
