I am looking for an experienced dog owner and someone who appreciates the beauty and intelligence of our dogs (top notch grooming & training required).
We will place one of our beautiful dogs in your home as a forever pet at no cost to your family other than routine care, training and grooming. We pay all fees associated with breeding. When we retire the dog it is yours at no additional cost. Sometimes we never breed the dog! You can PM me your information and I can give you more details about our program. We are very selective~

it is hard sometimes to find families willing to attend training with their dog (I dont understand why even families who spend money to buy a dog wont do training? who wants an unruly dog.). This makes finding good guardian families hard to find. We have 10 right now that are absolutely fabulous and I am so thankful for them.

kendra.....i feel the same way as to why more people dont' consider Obedience training for their dog as it's rewards are numerous besides being able to bond as well.
so when someone i know complains about bad habits their dog does on a continual basis i ask them "why not try an OB class" good luck on your search and to-date sounds like you have a good program going for you.

While I absolutely agree that training not only helps the families, but helps the dog (makes him/her into a pet that people enjoy being around) I think that I can pinpoint why people are reluctant to get training for their dogs...its because THE PERSON has to do the work! It isn't just a matter of sending the "kid" off to school, it is learning how to work with the dog every single day...always.
So, some people (like me) have good intentions and want to do what is right...but find it very difficult. (I keep trying.) Others just want the dog to learn by osmosis...unfortunately, when they do, what they learn is NOT what the people wanted! Toooo sad...but it all boils down to people understanding what training actually is and what will happen if they don't do it...and people are not inclined to want to look at themselves so deeply. |
