Default Good SF Home Needs Sm/Med Doodle...

A good friend of mine just lost her dog and is looking for another. She lives with her mom who has Alzheimers and really benefits from having a dog around. She has a house and yard and is a very nice individual I've known for 15 years. They need to adopt an older dog (retired?), perhaps an older re home or rescue, housebroken, friendly (low cost or adotption fee). She's located in San Francisco Ca...thanks!

If they would consider an older puppy (they would need to train and housebreak) then I can help...otherwise, they should contact Jo and Shannon at the IDOG rescue...but they have a huge waiting list for California rehomes.
I'll let you know if I hear of any retired breeding dogs, have them contact me if they are interested in an older puppy.

Jac, thank you for your very kind offer. It's unfortunate that she has a lot on her plate right now and would rather not housebreak and train a young pup. Thanks again...m

You are welcome!
I certainly understand that! It takes a lot of work to get a puppy to become a good family pet and I appreciate that they know that. It is so nice to hear of someone passing by the "cute puppy" stage and looking for an older dog...there are so many older dogs needing homes.
Again, I'll watch and let you know if I hear of any. Usually the rehomes and retired breeding dogs are sold for close to the normal selling price...so it will be a tough thing to find, but not impossible!
