Welcome to Mountain Spring Farm in beautiful Springville, AL! We have been breeding and raising top quality horses and dogs for 6 years. Our dog breeds are limited to Goldendoodles, Labradoodles and Labrador Retrievers. We strive to breed healthy, intelligent, sociable, "allergy friendly" beautiful dogs with excellent temperaments that are ideal for family pets, companion dogs or to train for human special needs assistance dogs. Our puppies have consistently been highly trainable, lovable, "kid friendly" and FUN LOVING DOGS! All our Labradors are AKC and CKC registered. All our doodle pups are CKC registered and most parents are double registered AKC and CKC. All standard poodle breeding males are OFA certified and have championship pedigrees. None of our breeding dogs has any known inheritable disorders and all are healthy with excellent temperaments. ALL our adult breeding dogs have been examined by a certified veterinary opthalmologist (CERF exam) in Nov, 2006 and all had normal, healthy eyes. We have doodle pups in all colors, generation types and sizes. The standard size (if sire is standard poodle) doodle pup will average 55-60# when grown. The mini size with a miniature poodle sire will average 35# when grown. The most common generation is the F1 (first generation) with a lab or golden retriever mom and a poodle dad. They are the least expensive and combine the best of both breeds. Approx 85% of these pups do not shed or shed very little. The F1b pups (first generation labradoodle mom BACKCROSSED to a different poodle dad) is 75% poodle and 25% lab (or golden). The advantage to this generation is they are 99% non shedding or very low shedding and are the least likely to aggravate allergies. They tend to have curlier coats than the "wavy" F1 pups.
